|||||||
|
Casa Torres is a beautiful meticulously restore
historical colonial mansion, located across the street form the plaza in
the center of Navojoa. This has been the official residence of the Torres
family since it was restored some 40 years ago. Now that the kids grew up
and moved away it doubles occasionally as a Bed and Breakfast Inn,
convention center and special event catering.
The city of Navojoa is the center of the Sierra Mar Route (below) making this a great location to explore the diverse Sonoran landscape. |

In the southern portion of the state between Alamos,
Navojoa and Huatabampo is an area that will grab the interest of the
dedicated ecotourism. Framed by an extraordinary contrast featuring from
colonial style towns to beautiful beaches; this tour offers a unique
experience, where you will find many alternative activities such as
hunting, fishing, bird watching or water rafting.
The diversity of the scenery is like no
other in Mexico: great tide lands, mangrove swamps, inlets, golden sand
dunes, semi / tropical and desert vegetation, as well as an incredible
diversity of plant and animal species; also, the nearby mayo river is a
refuge for the wildlife of the area, near its shores inhabit the
mayo indians, creators of beautifully handcrafted wool carpets and
blankets and intricately carved masks and sculptures. The mayos are
always eager to welcome and interact with visitors to their area. |
